I am profoundly humbled and excited to still learn new things about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Without even being conscious of it, I had slipped into a mindset that I knew about all I could know about the meaning of the cross and the resurrection. I still hungered to learn new things, but they seemed to strengthen what I believe rather than show me something new.

For the past six months God has been using the Word, books, people, and experiences to show me new facets of the gospel that I could have never guessed were there. The more I learn, the more I am in awe of the intricacies of God’s redemptive plan. It goes deeper than we will ever be able to wrap our minds around, but still God leads us into a fuller understanding of it all the days of our new life with Him. And this learning, this growing—I can’t rush it. It is a beautiful act of the Holy Spirit that He walks me into new understanding in His own perfect timing.

I can’t condense everything that I have learned into a paragraph or two. I don’t even want to try. But I want to encourage you that there is more than we know and it is ours to discover for the rest of our lives by the grace of God.
