#6 of the ’98 greats is How It Feels To Be Something On by Sunny Day Real Estate.
This is one of the best records I’ve ever heard. Still. I remember driving back to school on a Sunday night and listening to “Pillars”. I always get the blues on Sunday nights. The weekend is over. Work, school, or whatever else is eminent. I remember thinking if that song could keep playing, my car could keep driving, and the sun wouldn’t have to come up. I would have given anything to just keep driving, listening, and talking to God. There are only a few records in a lifetime that you experience in that way. How It Feels To Be Something On will forever inspire me, move me, and make me remember how blessed I am.
